Some musical projects have such a fascinating story to tell you would be remiss to overlook it.

Among these is the Art Rock act known as Slinky Vagabond. Wondering who exactly Slinky Vagabond is?

Their origins date all the way back to 2007 when British Fashion Designer and Musician Keanan Duffty founded the project with a list of well-known names dressing the collaborative lineup.

Breaking it down, you had famed Guitarist Earl Slick, former Sex Pistol’s Bassist Glen Matlock, and Blondie Drummer Clem Burke all part of the original lineup.

From here, a list of other guests teamed up with Duffty, including appears from Midge Ure (Ultravox/Visage), Dave Formula (Magazine/Visage), Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses/Psychedelic Furs), David Torn (David Bowie/David Sylvian), Tony Bowers (Durutti Column/Simply Red), Martin Turner (Wishbone Ash), and the late Pete Shelley of Buzzcocks.

Impressive, right? It is also important to note that many of the names mentioned played an intricate part in recording the 2021 debut Slinky Vagabond album King Boy Vandals with Duffty and his songwriting partner, Italian Guitarist/Producer Fabio Fabbri. Synchronized deeply on an artistic level, now, in 2025, the Duffty/Fabbri duo return with the new Slinky Vagabond album, The Eternal Return.

Released on Tuesday, January 14th, by Slinky Vagabond independently, The Eternal Returnis available digitally or physically in CD or vinyl format.

With that in mind, the new album also features a striking list of guest stars such as Mike Garson (David Bowie/Mick Ronson), Dom Beken (Nick Mason/ The Orb), Perry Jones (Brand X/ Kate Bush), Christian Dryden (The Ritualists), and Ava Cherry (David Bowie/Luther Vandross). Furthermore, the album features two tracks (“Perfect World” and “End of the Show”) co-written by Glen Matlock and Earl Slick, respectively.
